this is an image by magritte which has a sense of surrealism which is what i will be looking at with my final images to go inside my large image. i like how it relates to my final design with the way the cloth represents the hair and the cage represents the torso. maybe showing that this character feels that he is trapped, which is good narrative. i aim to have good narrative in my final design.

with the use of humans i aim to have real images/shapes with the surrealist element in it. i think that it will show the childs mindstate alot better in the final design. the aim is to have narritive with all of the designs in the final.

in this design i like the use of shape it give the design a texture. with this i think that i will look at adding texture to my designs.

with this design by man ray i have been looking at the ambiance i and how the design makes me feel when i look at it. i think that this is a very dark emotional design having a naked woman in the dark shows this.

1st Drawing For Abuse (A5) these are the images that will be underneath the main characters hair. which will be removed to reveal her take on abuse

in this image i have been looking at how abuse has haunted the child visually. seeing the father being abusive to the mother in the design i have the father raising his hand as if he is going to beat the mother. this is good as it communicates the design well and the audience already knows what will happen next (the mother being hit of course)

in this design i took pictures at my uncles BBQ/Bonfire to get this smoke effect. i added the image (above) to the design and layered it and removed elements of the smokey background/foreground to give the foggy/smokey effect. i made the image a lot thicker by duplicating the layers of the smoke with elements removed.

i just duplicated the layers a few more times to get rid of the bottom line.

MY FINAL MAC'D UP DESIGN

for my final design i am looking at 'samara' a character from the ring. i have chosen this character because of the story she has in the movie. her story inspired my final piece.

 this is the mac'd up design of my final. with this i will have a blown up lifesize model with the movable hair that will be able to reveal the history of the abuse in A5 pictures.

interactive street art

in this image i am looking at how the artist took a real life inanimate object and made it interact with the illustration. which is what i aim to achieve in my final design. except i will be having the audience interact with the design rather than having the illustration 'only' interact with the real object.

 again this design is representing looking at how the illustration communicates with real life which is what i aim to achieve.

Nathan Jurevicius

in this design i like how it looks like what would be created in a childs mind, which is the effect i am looking at in my final designs the use of colour and how it has been illustrated is what i will be looking at in my final design.

this is a good example of the idea i have. as the thought bubble is representing what is in the characters head. i am trying to communicate abuse through the childs mind.

in my final design i will be looking at a lot of different styles of vector art. i have been very interested in the work of Petra Štefanková because of her intentional child-like approach to the design. this is important to my final outcomes because i will be looking at abuse from a child perspective. so some child-like designs will help for my final designs.

again the surreal look to the design is what i am looking for in my final designs

i like the use of shape in this design and the colour is also very good. it gives off the illustration aspect of the design.

The shadow art of Kumi Yamashita is simply spectacular! In the example above, the artist uses a piece of aluminum attached to a wall, light hits the object to form a shadow of two people. What? in this image i have been looking at the amount of detail and the foggy effect it has, which is what i will be using in my final designs using smoke.
